What is the TMUA?

A test of how you think — not just what you know

The Test of Mathematics for University Admission (TMUA) is used by leading universities to identify students with genuine mathematical maturity. It rewards clear reasoning, efficient problem-solving and confidence under time pressure — exactly the habits that separate a strong applicant from a great one.

A strong TMUA score can lead to a reduced offer at some universities and helps your application stand out. But it is unlike A-level maths: success comes from deliberate practice on the specific style of question, which is where focused coaching makes the biggest difference.
