1. Our commitment

Arcvision Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children and young people who use our services. We believe every child has the right to protection from harm, and that their welfare is paramount. Everyone who works with us shares responsibility for keeping children safe.

2. Who this applies to

This policy applies to all tutors, staff and contractors working with Arcvision Education, and covers our online tuition for students under the age of 18.

3. Designated Safeguarding Lead

Our Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) is Samirakhon Raupova. Any safeguarding concern should be raised with the DSL without delay:

4. Safer recruitment and tutor vetting

We take care over who we allow to work with children. Because our tutors are based outside the UK, standard UK Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks are generally not available to them; instead, before a tutor works with students we carry out:

• Identity verification (government-issued photo ID);
• Professional and/or academic references;
• Any available criminal-record or good-conduct check from the tutor's country of residence;
• A signed code of conduct and confidentiality agreement.

Where a tutor is UK-based, we obtain an enhanced DBS check as appropriate.

5. Online lesson safety

• Lessons are taught in small groups (typically up to four students), not one-to-one behind closed doors, other than in planned, parent-agreed circumstances with appropriate safeguards.
• Lessons are not recorded.
• Parents and guardians are welcome to be nearby and aware of lessons taking place.
• All communication between tutors and students takes place through our monitored portal and approved lesson platform. Tutors and students must not exchange personal contact details or communicate through private channels.
• Tutors join lessons in an appropriate, distraction-free environment and maintain professional dress and conduct.

6. Code of conduct for tutors

Tutors must maintain clear professional boundaries, treat every student with respect, use appropriate language, never arrange private contact or meetings with a student, and report any concern about a child's welfare to the DSL immediately.

7. Recognising and reporting a concern

If a student, parent or staff member has any concern that a child may be at risk of harm — whether from something seen or heard in a lesson, in a message, or elsewhere — they should report it to our DSL straight away using the contact details above. We take every concern seriously, act promptly, keep records, and, where necessary, refer to the relevant local authority children's services or the police.

8. Handling information

Safeguarding concerns are recorded and stored securely, and shared only with those who need to know in order to protect the child, in line with our Privacy Policy.

9. Review

This policy is reviewed at least annually, and sooner if guidance or our circumstances change.
